Why is fat so bad?

Hi Amanda,

Fat is not as bad as we have thought during the last few decades. Recently, there are many scientific studies that support including healthy fatty foods (extra virgin olive oil, avocado, nuts, seeds...) as they increase satiety and they do not tend to pass to the body fat tissue. They also provide with many beneficial nutrients, such as essential fatty acids and a wide variety of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

Other foods, especially those rich in sugars (cakes, pies, sweets, sugary cereals...) are more likely to affect our health negatively.
