Total change: David tells us his story

  • First of all, David, explain what your day to day life was like before nootric.

Well, because of my work ...I ate quickly, sometimes I did not eat much, which led me to dine out a lot more and I ate a lot outside of work. I admit that I ate a lot of junk food.

  • So, what is it that lead you to make the decision to change your life?

Look, it was mainly because one day I said to myself; Ya! It’s over! In addition, I also had problems in the knees, because of the weight, and for my daughter. I don’t want her to have an obese father with problems and who can’t play with her for being overweight ...In short, a little bit of everything.

  • Great. Now, we would like to know what has changed about your diet since you started with the nutritionist?

Mm...everything! From discovering flavors that I didn’t know existed, when I put them together (sometimes it was hard for me to make dishes but then I surprised myself), to knowing what food types to eat during the day. I learned how to enjoy healthy food.

  • It sounds interesting, but has adapting to the new diet been difficult?

Look at the beginning, yes, but now, no,  it was difficult at first not because I didn’t eat enough or ate less, but because I ate things that I shouldn’t have .. that was the problem. And I was a fan of Fosters, Burger King, etc. Of course … on the other hand, you learn to eat healthier, so it’s worth it.

  • And the moment of truth arrives... David, how do you feel now?

Woah! I feel like I’ve so much energy, that it’s not normal, before I thought that exhaustion was the result of work, but I’ve come to the conclusion that it was because of the fat and bad digestion I had. When I eat fruit, it keeps my energy up for the whole day. I don’t need coffee anymore.

  • Give us an idea of what new dishes you’ve incorporated into your diet. So far, what is your favourite dish? What do you like the least?

I have incorporated, based on things I’ve already tried, couscous with different things, which by the way I’m hooked on.. Banana and cinnamon pancakes, stuffed tomatoes and I love the salads. The pancakes were delicious. Although I like everything, there was a salad with very strong flavors, with cod and olives, I ate it but I didn’t like that one.

  • You already know that with Nootric, you can upload photographs, comments and ratings of the meals. Does this make you more aware of what you eat?

The truth is that I haven’t used it, I haven’t seen it as something necessary, in addition to how attentive you are., if you don’t like a dish, you mention it and the nutritionist changes it  right away...In my case it wasn’t necessary because if there was something that I didn’t want, I could change it for something with similar ingredients.

  • What would you say is the best thing about nootric?

Well that it’s a way to follow a diet, without any excuses, without wasting time going to a clinic...since you control yourself more and are more aware of the weight you lose, having an application on the phone that shows you how to eat every hour, plus the shopping list of the week, makes it very comfortable to do the diet. The one who doesn’t do it , really doesn’t want to do it.

  • Before finishing, would you like to add anything else?

Just tell you thanks for everything, because I haven’t seen such low figures on my scales in a very, very long time. I hope to keep it this way!
