4 tasty, original ideas to make your child a healthy breakfast every day!

Let’s go to school!! Breakfast is known as the most important meal of the day. While we are responsible for preparing our own breakfast in the morning, we are also responsible for providing our children with a healthy, filling breakfast to fuel them for the day. Children need to be at their best to concentrate and focus in class.

Breakfast is the key that allows our children to get off to a good start! Are you among the moms and dads who have doubts about what to put in your child’s lunchbox? Don’t worry! It’s completely normal! Take a look at our healthy breakfast ideas and make your little ones school time more fun.

  1. The bowl is only for home? No! Take away the idea that your child's cereal bowl is only for cereal and milk at home. Fill a plastic bowl with chopped fruit, yogurt, nuts and healthy combinations of the above, so that they can take it away with them.

  2. Cookies; Throw out typical, industrial, processed cookies and make your own homemade cookies instead. Use oats, instead of flour and crushed fruit to replace the sugar. Yummy!

  3. Juices: Natural squeezed juices are best, with no added sugar. Milkshakes and smoothies are great. Mix some antioxidant rich berries with yogurt or milk to have the perfect creamy, protein and antioxidant rich drink. Chopped or whole pieces of fruit are also perfect for the little ones, full of fiber, vitamins and antioxidants. Up the vitamin C from citrus fruits like oranges during the winter months. Apples are perfect in the morning to wake up and feel alert.

  4. Toast; toast is great with the right bread. Replace white and refined flour with brown and wholegrain. This could be hard at first with the children, but slowly they will begin to get used to the taste, if you introduce it slowly.
